Reporting a repair if you have gas
Our repairs company, Templer HomeBuild, provides responsive day-to-day repairs to gas boilers, central heating systems and radiators with appointments being allocated into two priority bandings according to the level of severity.
Emergency repairs can be reported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will need somebody over the age of 16 to be at the property so that Templer HomeBuild can carry out this type of repair. Emergency repairs will only be allocated if it presents a health and safety risk, for example, the boiler not working at all during the winter months or an uncontainable leak or flood from the gas boiler. Please note that lack of heating and/or hot water will only be considered as an emergency repair between the winter months of October – May unless there are vulnerable residents living at the property (young children, very elderly, and very ill people).
Other repairs will be completed by one of our qualified gas engineers within 30 days.

Gas Servicing
Teign Housing takes Health and Safety seriously. To keep you and your home safe regular servicing is required to take place. It is important that you allow access for contractors to complete any servicing in your home.
If you have any gas appliances in your home we are required by law to carry out an annual gas safety check (this will also include your smoke and carbon monoxide alarm check). Templer HomeBuild will contact you when your gas safety check is due and arrange a convenient appointment.

Oil fuelled heating systems and air source heat pumps are serviced annually. Multi-fuel boilers are serviced twice a year in March/April and August/September.
Templer HomeBuild works with several subcontractors to undertake a range of heating repairs and services. The appointed subcontractor will contact you directly by phone, email or letter to arrange an appointment date and time.
