Teign Housing has been responsible for running the site provided for Travellers by Teignbridge District Council, Haldon Ridge, since it opened in 2014.
There are 18 pitches on the site. Each pitch has hard standing for either one or two caravans, and an amenity block with a small kitchen area, lockable store/shed and bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. There is an electricity hook-up and outside tap, as well as small garden area around each pitch and a communal green space for children to play on.
The site is situated in Haldon Forest.
How to Apply
To apply for a pitch on the site, you must fit the definition of a Traveller as defined by the Mobile Homes Act, 1983: ‘“Gypsies and travellers” means persons of nomadic habit of life, whatever their race or origin’.

You will need to complete an application form and provide documents to verify your application. We can help you to complete the form. We also interview applicants, we prefer to do this either at the site office or at our Teign Housing office in Newton Abbot, but if necessary, we can do telephone interviews.
